About the Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD):
As an agency operating a shared services model, we provide the executive branch of state government with top-notch HR services. Salary Statement

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $39,000.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

 

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows: 

  • Responsible for all HR transactions related to FML, STD or LTD leaves for small agencies. 
  • Aid as needed or requested related to position management records within the PeopleSoft HRIS system, including but not limited to creating, changing, and deleting existing records. 
  • Utilize the VFire ticketing system for questions, corrections, and manual workflow from customers. Ensure that status updates are entered timely and accurately depict situation to enable seamless assistance to customer base. 
  • Aid as needed or requested in all areas of HR, including special projects, such as assistance with file maintenance per the personnel file retention guidelines.

  • Receive and reconcile requests for record corrections within the HRIS system. 
  • Serve as backup to run INPRS ERM Exception Reports for seven (7) submission units weekly. Analyzes, researches, and corrects data discrepancies. May require use of PeopleSoft HRIS and Auditor's system for research. Works with AOS contact to clear errors, sharing efforts and outcomes.
  • Assist in the management of SPD PERF e-mail inbox, responding to requests and inquiries from INPRS staff. 
  • Work to become a subject matter expert for areas of responsibility related to position management, ERM and LTD employees.

  • Specialized knowledge of the PeopleSoft Organizational Design and Workforce Administration Modules. 

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
