Job Description
An employer in the life sciences industry is looking for Power BI Developer to join the India-based remote team. This person will design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and data models for multiple business units, including Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Success. They will connect to and transform data from various sources (databases, APIs, Excel, cloud services), perform ETL using Power Query, ensure data quality, and build conceptual, logical, and physical data models. They will create interactive reports using advanced DAX measures, optimize report and model performance, manage deployments in the Power BI Service (workspaces, data refresh schedules, apps, access control), and maintain on-premise data gateways. The PBI Developer will support stakeholders by translating business needs into technical requirements, presenting insights, and troubleshooting refresh or data issues. The focus will be on building reports and dashboards that are visually strong, high-performing, and aligned with BI best practices.

Skills and Requirements
4-6 years of overall experience delivering data solutions. 4-6 years of hands-on Power BI experience, covering data loading and transformation with Power Query, conceptual/logical/physical data modeling, and dashboard and report development.Strong DAX expertise, including writing optimized measures and calculated columns, and resolving performance & scalability issues.
Deep understanding of data modeling fundamentals, including normalization and denormalization, star and snowflake schemas, and relationship management.
Strong experience with Power BI Service and enterprise delivery, including workspaces, apps, permissions, scheduled refreshes, gateway configuration, and business requirements gathering and documentation.
