Job Title: Power BI Developer - 10+ years of exp
Location : Atlanta, GA - (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field with 4+ years of academic foundation in relevant disciplines.
- Hands-on IT development experience building enterprise analytics and reporting solutions.
- Hands-on experience developing reports, dashboards, and data models using Microsoft Power BI.
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI semantic models using dimensional modeling techniques including star schema, snowflake schema, dataflows, and shared datasets.
- Build enterprise-grade Power BI datasets including relationships, hierarchies, calculation groups, and incremental refresh configurations.
- Implement scalable data modeling standards to support governed data access and self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data requirements, improve data quality, and support scalable architecture.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables to support KPIs, metrics, and analytical insights.
- Optimize DAX code for performance, maintainability, and readability across large and complex datasets.
- Troubleshoot data calculation issues and ensure accuracy and consistency across dashboards and reports.
- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) within Power BI semantic models.
- Develop intuitive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards that effectively communicate business insights.
- Apply data visualization best practices and data storytelling techniques to improve decision-making capabilities.
- Implement interactive report capabilities including drill-through navigation, bookmarks, custom visuals, and parameterized reports.
- Ensure dashboards comply with accessibility, usability, and design standards.
- Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database views to support BI data pipelines.
- Perform data profiling, validation, and transformations using SQL across both Oracle and SQL Server environments.
- Collaborate with DBAs and data engineers to optimize query performance and maintain data integrity.
- Manage Power BI Service components including workspaces, datasets, data gateways, refresh schedules, and capacity utilization.
- Support Power BI governance initiatives including dataset certification, documentation standards, naming conventions, and version control.
- Monitor dataset refreshes, troubleshoot refresh failures, and optimize gateway and dataset performance.
- Assist with Power BI tenant administration including user access management, licensing oversight, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Provide guidance and technical support to self-service BI users across the organization.
- Document semantic models, DAX logic, SQL scripts, and report specifications.
- Participate in Agile or project-based development processes supporting continuous improvement of BI capabilities.
- 5+ years of experience developing Oracle Business Intelligence solutions using OBIEE semantic models (RPD), interactive reports, and dashboards.
- Strong SQL development experience working with both Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple enterprise systems and data sources.
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks and best practices for data management.
