Job Description

Our client is a global law firm and has been practicing for over 100 years. They seek a 3rd – 5th year associate to join its International Trade team within the International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group. This group is consistently ranked in Band 1 by Chambers.

The position is hybrid working out of its Washington, DC office.

Main Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Three to five years’ experience working in Trade Litigation, which includes all facets of antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before both the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as judicial appeals of these agencies’ determinations.
  • Support the Trade Policy practice before various government agencies, including the Office of the United States Trade Representative.
  • Work on sophisticated matters and have direct contact with clients.
  • Have a solid understanding of the relevant legal environment, persuasive writing abilities, an ability to work well under pressure and a willingness to travel internationally.
  • Candidates with quantitative capabilities, an accounting and/or economics background, and facility with Excel, are preferred.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top accredited law school as well as active membership and standing in the District of Columbia Bar is required. Prior experience working for an AmLaw200 Law Firm is a plus.

The expected salary for this position is $260,000 - $365,000, plus bonus depending on experience. Full range of benefits for employees and their eligible dependents.
