Job Description

As a leading US manufacturer of industrial-grade products, United Abrasives, Inc. is seeking a driven, growth-focused sales representative to join our team. The individual will manage all sales and business development activities within the region (Ohio) while being given the tools and comprehensive training at our facility to become a successful team member and specialist in our industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-user sales through multiple distribution channels.
  • Uncover new sales opportunities and convert them into customers.
  • Demonstrate products to end users, emphasizing the financial impact of improved performance, safety, and quality.
  • Manage and consistently update sales leads to track progress.
  • Effective management of end-users and distributors with high-quality follow-through, ensuring territory growth objectives are achieved.
  • Overnight travel required (access to transportation and a valid driver’s license required).

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in an industrial setting.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industrial distribution practices and trends.
  • Knowledge of welding, metal fabricating, woodworking, and power tools is helpful.
  • Military background is a plus.
