Performs a variety of basic to advanced accounting duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles under moderate supervision and guidance. There is an ability for a strong performer to grow within the role and assume additional responsibilities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create/Update and post all monthly journal entries
• Complete bank reconciliation monthly in accounting system (Sage)
• Complete monthly account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
• Fixed Asset Management including, setup new assets, CIP analysis for new builds, scan P&L for capitalizable expenses, run monthly depreciation in accounting system
• Monthly Sales tax calculations and remit payments
• Book payroll journal entries into Sage for each pay period
• Review the income statement monthly, by location, and post any location reclassifications necessary
• Review the income statement monthly, by expense account, and post any necessary reclassifications
• Attend monthly close meetings
• Maintaining accurate and organized systems of records ensuring compliance for the organization
• Assist in various ad hoc projects needed by the accounting department as well as to support initiatives of other departments
• Create and be responsible for managing month end checklist
• Assist in monthly reporting and analysis of financials to support PE reporting requirements
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis, as requested

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Proficient in US GAAP
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Curious and self-starter mindset
• Excellent Excel skills, including advanced formulas
• Proficiency navigating Accounting Software: ability to learn/navigate/improve accounting systems
• Strong preference for Sage Intacct experience
