Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help support the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) Alternative Multi-factor Authentication Support Services (AMASS) program which is the primary authentication method for Department of War (DoW) self-service web sites.

*This position is 100% remote with minimum travel possible.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be part of a team who is responsible for providing Identity Management services for more than 11 million users across 200 partner applications which include US Active Duty, National Guard, Retirees, Veterans, DoW family members, Federal Employees and Federal Contractors.

HOW A BUSINESS ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Developers to create and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Participate in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including use case development, requirements creation/review, application discussions, testing support, and deployment preparation.
  • Maintain and update project documentation (functional specs, user guides, test plans, release notes, etc.)
  • Gain hands-on experience with JIRA by creating and managing tickets and assisting with creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support testing activities in development, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing environments.
  • Assist with capturing and distributing meeting minutes as required.
  • Learn AMASS systems and processes and build foundation knowledge with applications.
  • Grow technical capabilities, such as leveraging AI
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills with guidance and collaboration from the team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:

  • Citizenship : US Citizenship
  • Clearance : Ability to obtain DMDC Position of Trust
  • Education : BA/BS or equivalent related field
  • Years' Experience:
  • Testing / Quality Assurance : 4 years of manual or automated testing experience.

  • General Business Analyst - 3 years across any of the below areas.
    • Business Analysis : Requirements gathering, creating workflows, analyzing processes, creating use cases, and translating requirements into actionable solutions.
    • Technical Writing : Experience creating tech specs, functional specs, or user manuals (or like artifacts)
    • Project Coordination : Software project management and managing cross-functional team deliverables.

  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong written and verbal communications
    • Detail Oriented and eager to learn
    • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • JIRA and SQL familiarity is a huge plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
    • Must be a quick learner with medium to high complexity IT systems
    • Must be an analytical thinker with excellent communication skills

The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 - $130,651. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
