As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in La Porte TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor entry points verify credentials and help support a secure environment through visible presence patrols and strong communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees contractors visitors and drivers by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify credentials and authorizations process visitors and deliveries and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Maintain required logs reports and access-related records and communicate security-related concerns incidents and unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following post orders and location protocols for evacuations shelter-in-place directions and/or other emergency conditions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas gates and perimeter locations to identify security-related issues equipment concerns and/or access control irregularities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
