Quality Assurance Monitor Job Compensation:

  • $54,824.00 to $68,626.42/ Salary Per Year (depending on experience).

Quality Assurance Monitor Job Responsibilities

  • Works closely with QA Director to ensure compliance in Head Start systems, federal (HSPS, ADA, IDEA, OSHA), state (TX, WI, MO, Administrative Code), and local regulations, including policies/procedures and guidelines established by UMOS.
  • Performs ongoing performance monitoring by reviewing and interpreting relevant data and reports and uses monitoring findings as a basis to recommend the development or modification of policies and procedures and/or staff trainings.
  • Assist in the development of program and system policies and procedures with staff and management input and assists with program training.
  • Prepare detailed reports on program strengths, areas for improvement, and compliance status, presenting outcomes to MSHS Director and VP of Early Care and Education.
  • Analyzes performance data and uses it to identify trends and works with Quality Assurance Director and Program Directors in developing error prevention measures/practices.
  • Serve as liaison between Management on Quality and training issues. Work in cooperation with Program Directors regarding audit findings, corrective action plans and program outcomes.
  • Coordinate and oversee desk audits to ensure accurate database management system (DBMS) and Child Outcomes data and performs mock reviews with both staff and providers in preparation Head Start Reviews
  • Assist the QA Director in recommending and implementing program requirements pertaining to compliance with Head Start regulations, including the annual Self-Assessment process, USDA monitoring, and the development of the quality improvement plans.
  • Responsible for following up and verifying the accuracy of the Program Information report, ensuring that all compiled information is correct and up-to-date to ensure timely submittal to Office of Head Start
  • Transforms data into actionable information and communicates performance improvement priorities and results using narrative and the appropriate data visualization methods.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews/audits and makes recommendations to management/leadership team based on findings.
  • Serves as liaison between UMOS Administration and Program Directors/Managers on quality improvement issues, collaborating with affected staff members to correct negative findings and improve program management and service delivery.
  • Analyzes and interprets federal, state, and local program policy pertaining to UMOS programs.
  • Supports program management prior to funding source audits and ensures all requirements are in place; reviews audit results; and assists in preparing agency responses.
  • Prepares correspondence and reports in response to funding source requirements/requests.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Director to ensure integration of quality assurance and monitoring of program services being implemented across regions
  • Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance Monitor Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Non-Profit Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum three years of program oversight, including monitoring, evaluation, staff supervision, and training.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, plan, coordinate, monitor, and report on program operations.
  • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Power Point.
  • Strong observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor service operations, implement and monitor policies, develop materials, provide technical assistance.
  • Ability to work in partnership with colleagues, lead teams, problem-solve, and proactively manage projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English required, bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Skilled in conducting training and informational sessions for small and large groups.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Able to respond productively to change and take on essential tasks as assigned.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, insurance, and ability to travel 25% of the time, both interstate and intrastate, and work irregular hours.
