PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR / PFEIFFER BIG SUR STATE PARK / BIG SUR SECTOR / MONTEREY DISTRICT
The Park Maintenance Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Chief I and will be responsible for the oversight of the facilities maintenance, equipment operation, employee supervision and other duties in the Big Sur sector. This position has supervisory responsibility for permanent and seasonal maintenance staff assigned to the sector. The primary reporting location is Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park but the position may be required to work at other locations throughout the sector as assigned and based on operational need. Big Sur sector state parks include Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, and Point Sur Light Station State Historic Park and more! Training and development assignments may be considered.
The incumbent's work schedule will be Tuesday - Friday from 6:30am - 5:00pm.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961 , this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. Training and development assignments may be considered.State housing may be required. *Special Requirement/Condition of Employment: Depending on the assigned location, the incumbent may be required to occupy state-owned housing to meet operational needs, or may be offered state-owned housing if available. Housing assignments will be determined in accordance with Department policy, operational priorities, and applicable labor agreements after the state housing may be required as requested by HR.
