Emplify Health by Gundersen - Prairie du Chien Clinic is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Prairie du Chien, WI laboratory team. ASCP certification is not required! What You'll Do: You will perform routine laboratory testing on a variety of specimens and demonstrate competency within the full scope of laboratory procedures, chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, molecular, and transfusion medicine. You will analyze information, monitor quality performance, and take action to ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory test results and services. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of laboratory procedures, as well as the maintenance of quality control in the laboratory understanding the requirements and standards of regulating agencies to ensure compliance within the laboratory. In addition to lab testing, staff are expected to help with sample collection and will learn EKG's, DOT drug screens and breath alcohol collections. Typically, between 35-50 patients per day, all ages and abilities.
What's Available: - Fulltime - 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)
- 8-9 hour days M-F between 7:30a-5p, no weekends
- Starting pay of $22.40 per hour and up, based on your years of experience
What You'll Need: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science
- ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certification is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including blood sampling, specimen collection, processing, and analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
