The Marketing Manager for the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex is responsible for managing the marketing, promotions, and public relations efforts for the Hershey Bears Hockey Club.
Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Responsible for developing and managing the marketing, promotions and public relations efforts for the Bears. Marketing Manager to work in a timely manner with all relevant parties to ensure that the strategic vision of the programs are launched and perform in the manner in which they were planned.
Responsible for managing the media efforts for the Bears. This includes working with the creative team to submit tickets and creative in a timely manner. The campaigns include Overall Game Promotion, Season Ticket Sales and Group Sales. Working with the internal and external media buyers to ensure that media runs as preplanned and on time. Marketing Manager to also follow up to ensure that all creative is complete on time.
Game day responsibilities that include but are not limited to: assisting with group and season ticket sales promotions, overseeing all promotional giveaway item distribution, theme night planning and ordering including: Teddy Bear Toss, Hall of Fame, Hockey Fights Cancer, jersey auctions etc. This responsibility will be high level as in overseeing. The day to day responsibilities outlined here should fall with marketing coordinator.
Responsible for creative as it relates to tv, radio, social campaigns. This includes working with all external and internal media partners. Developing the campaign, submitting tickets on time and following up with appropriate parties to keep the campaign on time and on focus. Being creative and coming up with ideas during the season when the campaign may need to refocus.
Overseeing the Social Media Campaign of the Hershey Bears. This includes working with all relevant parties to ensure the Campaign is on time and focused. Responsible for keeping the Social Media Content Calendar up to date and on task. Overseeing weekly content meetings with relevant parties. Working with the Marketing Coordinator, Social Media Content Creator and Hershey Bears Communication Staff to effectively utilize all Social Media channels.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Marketing) or 6 years experience in related field
Minimum 2 years related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability reflecting initiative, motivation, organization, innovation and follow through
