INVESTMENT BANKING ASSOCIATE

 

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a high-performing Investment Banking Associate to join our fast-paced transaction team in McLean, VA. In this role, you will manage an active deal pipeline from origination through close, working directly with clients, capital partners, and internal stakeholders to drive transactions to market with speed and precision. This is a high-velocity environment — you will be expected to handle 40–50 transactions at any given time, with a goal of bringing deals to market within 5 to 10 days. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record of closing deals independently in an investment banking or commercial finance setting. As one of three Associates joining the team, you will have a direct path to grow your book of business and earning potential.

OBJECTIVES

  • Leverage the firm’s platform, data, and track record to successfully propose potential deals to the
  • firm’s capital network of investors
  • Schedule and coordinate deal discussions between investors and clients
  • Support the management of multiple transactions simultaneously to ensure timely execution
  • Maintain consistent outreach and follow-up to develop and manage a pipeline of qualified
  • opportunities
  • Identify client financial objectives and assist in developing appropriate financial solutions
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with investors, clients, and internal stakeholders

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, investment banking, capital raising, commercial real estate sales, or business development
  • Experience working in a high-activity environment that includes outbound calling and client outreach
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or transactions while meeting deadlines
  • Experience managing deal documentation and client communications with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and general sales tracking tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience meeting or exceeding revenue or sales targets (Preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills (Preferred)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment (Preferred)
 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary: $80,000–$120,000
  • Monthly Production Bonus: Up to 5% of net revenue on closed deals (up to $45,000/month depending on deal size and team involvement)
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 50% of base salary based on individual and company performance
  • Profit Sharing: 10% of company profit distributed annually among all employees
  • Medical: Company covers 99% of premiums

  • PTO: 3 weeks + 15 paid holidays
