Job Description

Our client is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support safety operations across multiple active job sites. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local regulations; conducting site audits; managing incident investigations; and leading safety training initiatives. This is a hands‑on, field‑based position ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic construction environments and is committed to maintaining a strong culture of safety.

Work Schedule: Part‑Time, 20–40 hours per week

Requirements:

Site Safety & Risk Management

• Develop and maintain site‑specific safety plans and procedures.
• Identify potential hazards on construction sites and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple job sites.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulations.

Incident Management & Compliance

• Manage workers compensation reporting and case follow‑up.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Investigate, document, and manage EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries.
• Maintain OSHA logs, certifications, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.

Training & Safety Programs

• Develop and deliver safety training for new hires and monthly safety meetings.
• Create safety materials, toolbox talks, and compliance‑focused training content.
• Support continuous improvement of safety management systems and best practices

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

• OSHA 30 Construction certification (required)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in personnel‑related matters.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations specific to the construction industry.
• Experience with incident investigations, workers compensation, and safety documentation.
• Construction safety management experience in commercial construction environments.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS‑related field OR a Bachelor's degree in EHS or a related discipline.
