Job Description

We are looking for Baristas to join our team at our new coffee shop, Rooted Grounds! We are looking for full-time and part-time employees to work weekdays & weekends. We are looking for fun, motivated, and hardworking people to join our team.

Essential Functions:

• Greet customers as they enter with a friendly smile, take drink orders from customers while paying attention to details such as preferences of drinks, food, beverage preferences etc.
• Prepare beverages following recipes exactly as specified by the recipe list.
• Serve beverages, snacks, and pastries from a stock that has been properly stored throughout the shift.
• Receive and process payments (cash & credit cards).
• Cleaning duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Skills:

• Experience in food service or restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the manager about problems or questions that arise in the line of work.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs (optional).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (optional).

Experience:

• Guest services: 1 year (Preferred).
• Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred).
