Job Summary:

Freedom Classical Academy is a K-8 charter school specializing in a unique blend of STEM and classical education. Our middle school is structured differently from most middle schools. Students will have 3 main classes. Two are “STEM” classes where they are taught science and math and the other one is a humanities classes where they are taught ELA and History. They also attend a different Specials class each day: Technology, STEAM, Music, and PE. This has been a successful model that has allowed our middle schoolers to get the support they need to find great success and growth.

We are seeking a Middle School Humanities teacher to join us for the 2026-2027 school year.

FOUR DAY SCHOOL WEEK . Our Board of Directors and the state approved the move to a four-day school week. Our teachers will work Monday through Thursday . One Friday a month is also dedicated to professional development and PLC teams. This change has been made with the specific goal of helping our staff have better work/life balance. Freedom Classical Academy is a classical school focusing on STEM instruction, leadership, and values. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Manage student behavior, ensuring respect, cooperation, and adherence to school rules.
• Plan, prepare, and execute daily lessons, assignments, and educational activities.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and critical thinking.
• Track and analyze student progress, providing timely feedback on academic and behavioral issues.
• Identify students’ individual learning needs and provide extra support or accommodations where necessary.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress, school activities, and concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other documentation.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, both in and out of the classroom.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to create a cohesive and effective learning environment.
• Participate in student pick-up or drop-off, as assigned.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by school administration, such as supervising extracurricular activities or assisting with school-wide initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 
Qualified applicants must:

• Have a NV teacher's certificate for 
  • Elementary Education (K-8) or
  • Secondary Education in ELA (7-9 or 7-12) or
  • Secondary Education in History (7-9 or 7-12)
• Have a willingness to learn and improve.
